Ai is my DJ, EV ain’t Easy, and Climate Week Kickoff

Topics: Ai DJ, Music Sampling Platforms, Electric Vehicles, Battery Life, Demo Experiences

These days, I’m trying to really embrace the summer and not let myself have idol time spent wasted!! Instead, I’m living life to the fullest - attending events, networking, buildling content, and here to learn. Sometimes that means an hour of traveling by transit in each direction - but hello!! Then keep yourself busy, meditate, work, or reflect on that transit. Better than trying to multitask while driving. Ew - no! So, it’s off to hear some artificial music performed by real DJ’s (so I think). Then, tomorrow is a hodge podge of fun… a event on electric batteries, maybe some dancing, maybe some climate-related kick-off parties. You know… let’s just see how it goes!! I love to have a lineup of options, then see what sounds best. The hardest part: leaving. Like right now!! Lemme quit prepping this blog and head downtown. I’ll report back lattterrr after the eventttttt

Why Attend: Dude! A rooftop Ai dj party? On a monday? What? Interesting. And then, the next day - let’s learn about electric vehicles and batteries? Heck yea, baby!! Technologic is here. This is the future.

Notes from the Events:

Ai DJ Event:

Bro… what was this? It was really fun (like, I forced myself to have fun - without networking much -at a networking event- and it worked. hahah - cause the DJ/music was mostly pretty good) - but! it was advertised as like an ai music party… but it was just human djs playing music. Including samples of hte spice girls.. so, idk. Is that Ai? At no point did I know when the Ai was involved, or if it was at all. hahahahahahhaa. omg. geeze. what a sentence to write. eyeroll.

  • this event was really fun. though the inside room was so stuffy, they needed a bamboo-esq ceiling fan to circulate the air.

  • the outside roof they were promoting hard was nice, but just a section of a roof, so you were surrounded by an ugly roof - but then amazing scenery and views and water. The sunset was cool (but the sky is legit hazy like pollution city from all this stuff they’re spraying in the skies!)

  • It was nice to run into two friends too! Yes. Friends? One is the guy who recognzed me from the Events Event and stopped me and told me to join the event that ended up ghosting me. But, being a part of that event got me meeting antoher woman who I get along well with - and now she and I are building some things together.

  • She got me involved in climate week & it’s partially (or fully?) her party tonight that I’ll attend for the kickoff.

  • I don’t want to get into these details too much right now, cause it’s not really the focus - the focus is more: going to events is fun… and usually i don’t know anyone.

    • But lately, now I go to so many events that I’m STARTING to recognize people - but… I’ve also intentionally been extra anti-social since moving to Seattle, just cause I have been overly-social my entire life. And I wanted to try this differently.

    • Plus, idk about you guys, but when I watch reality tv shows, it always surprises me how much I like the most unexpected people. It made me realize I shoudl do this in my own life, too. Sit back more and see who naturally hits off geniune conversatoin.

  • I had a fun time at this event, making it my personal mission to have fun dancing. I dressed extremely well - like the best I could, citing the “ai vibes” as my futuristic inspiration - and then, the best thing to do just seemed like dancing. for most of the night - so i did!! The few people who I met were niec and interesting. But mostly it was dancing and enjoying the atmosphere.

    • In addition, I like to dance a lot - but I danced extra this night. Cause, I feel like when people dance EXTRA around you, it like expands the bubble of how much dancing is allowed.

    • I think we all miss dancing a lot - you know… parties, just letting loose and having fun with music.

  • So, I felt like, if I dance big - others can, too. So, yeah! And it was fun. I found myself laughing and smiling a lot more than usual. It’s chicken and the egg.

Electric Vechicle Event

  • This event was too hard to register for, get to, and then find. I dropped it last minute, since I was already running late, and decided to stay home to work.

  • I will keep working on my climate week prep. Let’s talk about that below!!

EASTSIDE Climate Week PREP

  • Climate Week… I’ll just describe it bluntly, it’s been really “realistic”? Like - it’s not going flawlessly and its a bit chaotic. And even “trying your best” doesn’t work cause of legalities and paperwork. Also, “narratively” the big problem is that I was told I’d have a venue for anything I planned… but that was like 2 weeks ago, and I made all these plans and found co-hosts, but the venue still didn’t come through yet… though it should ‘tonight’. With is now because of getting business insurance wrapped up, etc. And none of this is in my hands.

  • So…. the good thing is that it’s a good experience and the woman I’m working alongside, she’s similar to me. We think similarly. So, we can work well together in the future in even better conditions.

    • We actually high-fived over this like many times last night hahahah. I like her.

  • For this Climate Week Event, it will come together and let’s see how it goes. But… it’s like less than 72 hours till my presentatoin and I still and not sure wherre I’m speaking exactly. But I think so - i think it’s the venue this party is at tonight.

    • And I’d like to have events with her in the future. We can work togehter on the Ai Edu Youth Event + she wants to work on a neurodivergent event. I think there are great potentials for the future.

Climate Week: Kelly Tutors Hosted/Co-Hosted Events

  • Event 1: The Journey of a Waterbottle

    • This event kicks off climate week, and its a bit selfish - since it’s just me and my buddy rich hosting it. Rich and I have another business we work on togheter, and that business is paused right now. So, we’re doing this - both cause we love this topic/the goals… but also, just to sorta, try things out again.

      • We also have a HUGE event to plan for next month. Where I’ll be pitching the fact that we’re starting a multibillion dollar company at a VC event… but… we’ll get there.

      • For now, it’s a 30 minute class for youth and parents on the journey of a waterbottle and the effects of your choices longterm.

  • Event 2: Doomscrolling for Climate Change Youth Workshop (IRL & Virtual)

    • I’ve been diving into the wild world of climate lately (while having it on the sidelines of my distractions for a bit now… especialyl after starting to notice all these hazy streaks in the sky + a reborn love for sunshine/naturalness…) so… the more I REALLY look into climate, i’m like wtf? and then i made this epic printable and i’ll just put it here. And then i’ll just go over it with students - and at the end… have them try a mini-project of their own.

  • Event 3: You’re a City Planner - Design Your Village Youth Workshop

    • Here is an actual project going on. It’s lower-income housing projects - but built like communities. You get a chance to own your own and grow as a community - though I still need to undertsand it more (cause I know -ew - banks are involved somehow in all of this…

      • I”M SO OVER OUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS!!!

    • This group claims it can accomplish: regenerative finance! Nice name. But, I still need to understand how their process works —- it’s literally sitting in my inbox now, some info about it hahha.

    • This will be a fun, creative event for kids.

  • Event 4: Regenerative Solutions Youth Workshop

    • This event is co-hosted by me and a sponsor of the event. We haven’t confirmed all the details so I’ll keep it vague.

      • Again, I love to plan ahead. Like insanely far ahead, so this event has been a good experience for sorta ‘previewing reality’ - and in the future, I want to make sure that certain needs are met - like… having a venue. Which should not be too hard to do - planning ahead of time.

      • Also, probably better communication for the next project I get into. Better communication of what’s possible. But, still… let’s see - it’s new perspective in this industry… alchemize it and build for the better.

    • I love his presentation a lot and even encourage him to record a copy of himself presenting this so that we can build it into an online interactive course.

      • I’ve pitched this idea to a few people now (the one above) and they’re really interested in. I think there’s potential here for Kelly Tutors, too… and it can intersect with other ideas. But… i’ll leave this epansive thread loose for the time being.

  • Event 5: Ai & Climate UnConference for Youth

    • This will be a chance for youth to talk about what’s on their mind to share info and insights on these intersecting topics. My goal is to help build and inspire the future of education, its intersection with Ai and keeping values-focused learning as the priority.

  • Event 6: Lego Builder Robotics Youth Workshop

    • Teaming up with a local high school robotic team that I’ve built a semi-friendship with. I spoke to them once hahah. And now we’ll do this event together.

  • OTHER EVENTS: I tried to recruit a few other people for events, but no luck. Mostly cause the venue was so hard to lock down. But all in all, it was a great beginning to this world!!
