Hirin’ Homage Hangout w/ Leadership @ Lunch

Disclaimer: Everything below is a mix of what I observed and heard during the event. The goal isn’t to pinpoint "who exactly said what," but to share (usually) an outsider's view and overall perspective on these industries. I’m not here to act as a definitive firsthand source—readers should do their own research. I hope this inspires you to attend events, explore new industries, and hear what leaders are presenting. These notes combine my observations with thoughts on how things could run smoother and how ideas connect (IMO). I’m not an expert, you know? Just hanging out in the room with them. Enjoy!

There’s so much to do today! We’re heading to a hiring fest right after touring the nuclear facility. Why? Nothing better than conversation and food. - and speaking of that, I’ll also have a 2 hour class that starts this week, (reoccuring) that teaches leadership skills. Let’s see how that goes… my plan is to multitask and be commuting during that. Because, at some point I need to get to daycare and get my daughter. Then, take a break before I actually take a big chunk of time off here next weeeeeeek. So, enjoy ‘em while you gottem. Then, the week after, we’re back for a lot of crazy stuff - including… yes, going to Mars. I’ll explain later, but it’s basically almost what it sounds like - but less extreme and staying on earth.

Why Attend: This company shows up everywhere I’m at (I mean, like 3 events now) and i’ve told them my goals, so, now they’re hosting an event of their own. But usually they ahve like… fruit roll ups to eat hahahaha. For real. So, now, let’s see what is for lunch here. Then after, yes - learning to be a leader. If there’s time, I’ll even attend a White House office hour event or something… but, that’d be 4 events in a whole day - and then taking care of my daughter! So… we’ll see how my energy is. Never say never.

Notes:

hahaha. How do I summarize this?
Well. I spent my time 50/50. 50% listening to the meeting about active listening, 50% working on my worksheet PDF. Wanna see? I’ll show you guys this one. Since my second-to-last blog was so insane who even know how much longer i’ll be on this freaking earth haha. omg. geeze. Let’s see how it goes. One day at a time, my friends :)

This is a double-sided 1 page turns into 4-page workbook. Sells for $10 with a song. What song? This one below all that…

Both events weren’t quite worth mentioning. The leadership one was pretty cool. It talked about think about others’ perspectives. But they asked that that meeting is kept more secret/private - you know? idk, and it’s like a 2 month program that I don’t think I’ll blog on every single time.

And then the meeting after, it was a hiring event that I was a little confused by, though I liked hearing from the founder of boc-u-sign (for lack of seo desiring) - and he said that hte best way to accumulate wealth is through shares.

Lastly, I waited around downtown for an extra 3 hours only to find that the final event I was going to attend… is 2 days later.

But, while waiting, I ran into someone I’d met at the “Ai is my DJ” party. He was there to interview. He said he’s bored with his work and not sure what he wants to do next… he’s been a developer, a blah blah, a blah blah - i told him that. I said you’re too worried about titles, think about your mission?

I told him how I realized I’m on the titanic, I’m on snowpiercer, I was in the first class, you know - or close enough. And I decided to turn around and say this is enough. Let’s stop this nonsense. Let’s make things better for everyone - including ourselves. It doesn’t need to be this way.

And now I’m learning so much, I’ve learned way too much about humans being sold, children running away as a norm, trafficking, and all sorts of things, but I am trying to create solutions. In education especially, wriitng music, writing classes. Every day is a gift, there are some terrible forces that would be very upset if they realize what I’m doing, but it’s the best I can do. you know?

He told me I hit the hail with a net. And then I said, well, I caught the hail with a net.

Then he said oh, I mean, you hit the nail on the head. I need to stop thinking of the title and think of the purpose.

Until next time, I wish you the motivation and success to search for opportunities around your area. Search and explore: Who is out there giving talks? There are new things happening all of the time.

Find relatable or interesting topics you like and check them out! Maybe even something hosted at a cool venue, if there’s no other reason to go. Let’s see what you can learn and discover not too far from home. 😊
