Event Week Finale, Celebration in Conversation
Disclaimer:
Everything below is a mix of what I observed and heard during the event. The goal isn’t to pinpoint "who exactly said what," but to share (usually) an outsider's view and overall perspective on these industries. I’m not here to act as a definitive firsthand source—readers should do their own research. I hope this inspires you to attend events, explore new industries, and hear what leaders are presenting. These notes combine my observations with thoughts on how things could run smoother and how ideas connect (IMO). I’m not an expert, you know? Just hanging out in the room with them. Enjoy!

Event Week Day 7, blah blah. I’ve been full fledge this week - though skipped two day of events, cause the White House called and I decided to answer. This new update about education in Ai seems like something I can try out. The event I went to where I learned (in short) that 99% of the internet is crap, so go research a topic and see if you can make something way better than whats out there - it’ll help. Now I’m like, woah! I can at least make a thing or two, and it’s coming along naturally. So I’m leaning out of the EW and into the YOU. Out of Event Week and into my work. BUT - now it’s not about to be three days in a row of skipping events. No. Today is the last week of event week (my self-declared time) and so I’m going. Then tomorrow I have a fun person event, then the next day is a new surprising adventure I will share with you all soon. All with Ai Education for Kids in the meantime. With that, it’s time to head to this 2 hour chat of inspiration. Let’s learn!!
Why Attend: This talk is supposed to inspire a new way of thinking about life and work. That type of pitch is right up my alley. After, they are supposed to go OUT ON A BOAT!! Originally, I wanted to make that work, but now I won’t make it (plus the weather isn’t great, it’s hazy/foggy/whatever you wanna call it). So I’ll just go to the talk, not the boat party after. After, heading back to reality. Soap there goes gravity. Nope? Let’s go.

NOTES FROM THE EVENT
Traveling there:
- Yeah, at the last minute I ‘got the Gump’ to go to this event. I am really enjoying building out tmy website, the merch, and the ai course for kids on Kelly Tutors. My hookie from events has been overdrive in creation other places.
This event sounds worth the effort, though, since it’s two hours and all about brainstorming. Then sharing ideas. Haha. So, let’s see how it goes. I am always a fan of offering advice when people want to hear it - you know, to different levels of depth. And so, maybe this event will be interesting as well, to hear what people are struggling with. Though, events like this aren’t always the BEST to write about, cause you feel like a secret spy sorta, writing about peoples’ struggles. I try not to include too many revealing details about people in these blogs, though. It’s mean to be more to help people understand and relate and connect dots how it’s helpful to them. Does this cause confusion? Sometimes, maybe yes. But consistency is key - and that’s where ‘doing your own research’ comes in. It’s why it’s good to learn lots, from many sources, and form your own opinions.
Maybe my ideas were off - in your opinion, maybe my typos lead to the wrong word being put out there. You know, it’s a lot of reasons. So it’s good to learn for yourself and try to become as educated as you can about the things you care about. You’d be surprised how much you can learn you just put yourself in situations to learn. Audio, video, experimental - live a little!
The weather is crazy today. I just scootered through the rain on a scooter. Two scooters.
At one point I was a bit nervous so I went slow. It’s wild how the city has such unsafe conditions allowed for public transit!!! But I slowed down and told myself, you have work to do in this city. It can handle if you go a little slower. Plus, there was no traffic around, two lanes, no one in the other lane.
Yeah - no one was around even. So it was good to slow down and be safe. But still!! We should build out the logistics of this city, gimme a break. It’s nothing to ask. Where is the manager? Hahhaa.
Had lunch between. It was a little dangerous at one point and said to myself: no one needs to get downtown too fast at this moment, not even you. There were two lanes and almost no traffic. Yeah. No one was around . But still idk if I’d repeat it but also why it’s those conditions. It’d be so smart if that were safe.
I also thought of the clever saying: A bad day for boating is a good day for learning. hahah.
I wanna put it on a tshirt.
Cause this rain is not good for boating, but it’s great for being inside to learn.
Okay so the emcee is up and asking how many people attended all of the days of this event. Only a few in the crowd, maybe a handful or two. This is a special event where ‘magic happens’ - and I’ll admit, this building is amazing and I’m pleasantly surprised they have snacks.
I complimented someone putting out the snacks, complimenting this and she said that last year they had a full meal, and I replied, well compared to your internet description it’s thanksgiving hahha.
It’s all about perspective, people.
We sing happy birthday to a girl on stage. It was said a bit more cheerful than usual happy birthday - but overall I think the literal tone of that song is down. Idk, so many people don’t like the birthday song, right? I’d be curious about that.
She thanks everyone for singing to her
hahah okay, not me. But she liked it
She said that sometimes she feels like this place is the center of the universe.
This boat place 🤣!?
The story’s writing is on the wall.
Everyone laughs at her joke (cause tehy writing is literally on the wall) the story of this place is in pictures.
An architect from the northeast coast moved here and then got crafty with boats. I didn’t read it all. But his former employee said he was visionary, in a quote on the wall! 😄😂
She says they do equitable public access to water.
IDK anything about this. 👀
She says she’s workign to restore the docks and if you love SLU come find her and she can repair some of the docks. Come chat with her, home she meets some of you.
Dawg!! I love this area SO MUCH and docks are awesome hahhaha.
After this, there are three yachts waiting for you. Two yachts are stationary with wine, cheese, shacks. One yacht will help you go out and learn how to drive it with the latest tech.
I can not go to this. Sucks so much cause I’d love to. But no.
OMG no - “this costorm is 20 minutes each focused on. Pick someone to be the captain time keeper.” Eew I dont want to do this haha. But let’s see how it goes and how much I write.
She said don’t talk about yourself or your life history, instead just costorm. jUst get into why you’re here. Why are you losing sleep on?
Maybe I can tell them about my ai for education initiative. That seems like a good idea to talk with people about that -a nd not too personal hahaha. Good - yay. Okay.
See! I can still be obsessed with my plan and get help.
Now the host is still telling a story and she is saying costuming works well with strangers. Where you put out what you’re losing sleep on at night and how we see things for others that we can’t see for ourselves is the magic of it all. Tellijng others what to do is no problem.
Also everyone, including herself here, needs more confidence.
That’s what comes out of the costorm every time. Just keep waking up with more confidence. Every single person on earth.
Also this is all about you really listening. So when the person is there, you listen. It’s a bit like group therapy and the magic happens in the last minute. 20 min about them. Don’t steal their time away.
We tend to listen and then think we’ve been there done that know what to do.
You may want 20 min to be heard you may want their contacts. See and say what they want from you.
- 5 min of what’s going onto you right now. Asking for feedback or just keep venting.
Feedback is challenging so layer it with kindness love and patience.
This is going to get emotional. You dont do this every day but hopefully you’ll want to do this more after.
We’re happy when we’re taking baby steps forward, when we’re depressed we feel we’re not going anywhere. A little accountability is good - share your contact info with each other. What you brainstorm, tell each other what you’re going to accomplish. Then get together and text or get together and keep each other accountable
- thats 100% not my thing hahahah. No way. I dont want to do that nor do that to someone else.
- She said we can go costorm on a boat - so if we want to, go do that.
I think we shoudl go to a boat.
Omg you can go on a walk around the lake. Etc. idk. Hahah idk this is too much decision and not my thing.
When everyone is done, share the collective wisdom of your group at the end. Its liek summer camp, half raise hands for boat.
But I didn’t end up going cause they said it’d be without shelter and I had my laptop. Plus, come on. I like to be warm and this boat place is plenty awesome!! hahaha.
TALKING & COSTORMING WITH THE GROUP
At this part we talked as a group. I shared my ideas and reasons for being so motivated (hahah but procrasting today!!!) to work on this Ai booklet.
(Instead today - the next day, while writing this blog.. I’m actually writing this blog and working on my website - hahah. RUNNING OUT OF TIME FOR MY BOOKLET TOO. ahh hahah.)
It was a lot of fun and interesting.
It was reassuring to hear they agree there is actually a push toward forgetting how to think. Wow! hahha. So I told them the ideas for my class and they really liked it. I’ll write my notes below a bit vaguely. Just for privacy sake, etc.
Also, a lot of their fears and feelings were relatable to how I felt living overseas. Being on a visa, its tough and stressful. Lots of unknwon. But overall, my advice was to build stability online. Cause it’s more permanent and stable. Then no matter where you live or where you are, you can refer to some online places.
Like me!! This website is SO freaking handy for me hahah. I refer to it all the time lately.
NOTES FROM OUR CONVO - SKIPPING THIS
In summary, they were in support of the heart and core my idea for these classes. Hahah and I could relate to their stress of being overseas on a visa. And I just told you, you gotta prepare for if things go wrong, raise your foundation.
And go on a mental diet - i didnt say it exactly. But you gotta limit what you expose yourself to. Its why I listen to so much Reggaeton and Handpan lately 😂. Cause I love music but I’m sick of lyrics in english. I just want to enjoy music, even party music - without hearing all this dumb stuff about drinking and getting onto the floor.
LEAVING THE EVENT
Heading out, I was glad to go - only cause I was in denial hahahaha. It sounded like a lot of fun at the wrap up yacht party. But, I didn’t want to leave my daughter at daycare too long. She asked to start taking dance classes so I want to let her live her best life as well, the best I can pull off.
It was an incredible event that has inspired me to host some events of my own. I want to have it like speed dating for hiring. For others to make friendships and networking. hahhaa. Maybe, let’s see.
I won’t tell you all what you said you wanted to but that’s how I’ll pair you.
Can I get sponsors?
And i’d like to get people who are hiring who are companies I like. This is a cool idea. Let me build out the ai classes first. But I think Kelly Tutors Hosting Events is a smart idea eventually.
I need to learn waht people need, then I can deliver it. Should be say enough.
I need to do more market research. Study women and people my age more.
Then also I can have speeches there and talk about things I’m interested in + practice taking. I need an emcee though. That i’ve learned.
It’s not good when one person running leads everything, right? Or do I lead with grace. I can ttry. Let’s see.
I don’t like depending on others too much when I’m building out something very intentionally. wHen others can’t do it - do it yourself, so I’d like to handle a lot of this.
But lean on others for their roles. Let’s see.
I realize vision boarding etc is really great. May be my first event.
But one other thing I’m thinking of is we brought up the idea of, “what if there are never jobs again. What if these layoffs continue and then ai does take over. Then what? We all need to be entrepreneurs- you know” it’s wild. But we need to be thinking bigger picture. It makes sense why growing your on food and providing for yourself a little is smart. I mean, we’re going into weird times. But there will be work here. You know, you just gotta fight for waht you want. And get innovative.
Literally plan for the worst so that even that can’t go too bad and keep building your foundation.
You must also put yourself of a diet - a mental diet from what you’re watching and consuming in social media
Focus on your favorite things to learn a lot about, and dive in further. Learn to learn.
OVERALL EVENT REVIEW FURTHER EVALUATIONS:
Venue: (5/5): This place was so amazing and I’d love to return and learn more.
Food: (4/5): I was pleasantly surprised they had food! It was all from costco, I think - so not the best sourcing, but still good variety.
Speaker Content: (5/5): I enjoyed talking to others at this event for sure! It was very beneficial.
Networking: (4/5): I met more people than usual, and really got to know them - however, it was easy to get out of there and be anonymous too. But also, I missed out on the after party yacht. Hahha. This was a really high-scoring event, huh?
Likeliness To Return: (5/5): Definitely. I loved all that this week offered. It was very great.
Until next time, I wish you the motivation and success to search for opportunities around your area. Search and explore: Who is out there giving talks? There are new things happening all of the time.
Find relatable or interesting topics you like and check them out! Maybe even something hosted at a cool venue, if there’s no other reason to go. Let’s see what you can learn and discover not too far from home. 😊
