An Event on Time… Postponed!!
Disclaimer:
Everything below is a mix of what I observed and heard during the event. The goal isn’t to pinpoint "who exactly said what," but to share (usually) an outsider's view and overall perspective on these industries. I’m not here to act as a definitive firsthand source—readers should do their own research. I hope this inspires you to attend events, explore new industries, and hear what leaders are presenting. These notes combine my observations with thoughts on how things could run smoother and how ideas connect (IMO). I’m not an expert, you know? Just hanging out in the room with them. Enjoy!
Yeah. This is mostly here as a joke - why put up a post/event review blog when it got canceled? Well..
It’s funny to point out how an event about planning your time well got canceled. I’ve never had an event get canceled before, I don’t think. For real 😂. Maybe, but not in a while. So, for all of them - this one!!
I didn’t want to go but felt I should, since I didn’t want to go since I felt I’m working on too many other things hahaha. So it seemed it’d be beneficial.
I’ll just put some snapshots of what I’ve been working on below. Then that’s that for this one :). Love it!! It’s fun to capture drafts + moments in time.
3. I’m also still behind on my last blog, ‘the menices of venice’ - so I want to do that soon, too - but it’s not a priority compared to my Ai worksheets (and then the merch is fun + there are small things I keep wanting to get established before drawing too much attention if my Ai plan works!! Which will be a time I legit us all my skills and knowledge like never before. So, I think it’ll do at least something!!!
Plus a friend has even offered to partner on some of it with me, applying for grants, etc. Hahahha. Yes - I’ve made a friend. I’ve written about them a few times now but won’t mention directly who. But it’s fun to see these ‘friendships’ (I guess? I ‘d say ‘peopele I’m getting to know’ want to work together, knowing I stand where I stand. Maybe they wanna stand there too.
I’ve been offered to helping plan the family section of Climate Week coming up in a few months in Seattle. This summer (lol - such a dramatic time to host it too!! I wonder if it’ll be hot 😂).
That’s also wild and wonderful since I’m not really THAT convinced (nor ‘traditionally educated per say’) about a lot of climate things and how much is being labeled ‘climate’ but actually no one knows what will happen - and/or larger goals etc.
I am educated in communication and media studies 😁. Hashtag college degree, yo!
But- HELLO!! We are living on Earth and clearly polluting the crap out of it more than necessary with our systems. We are inefficient in many ways and who really know’s what’s going on with our ‘weather’ you know? Last time I checked (at the blog like two blogs ago) that’s actually kinda the surface level norm in the industry. No one can agree and no one knows what to do hahahah. How to exactly fix it.
So, anyway. I’m honored and excited to help out with that - the “what’s going on/how do we life through + solve this problem big-picture as best as we can” introduced to kids whose parents are super into climate, you know? Woah hahahha. I will do my best and use the help of Ai to create a great experience. That definitely includes the values I believe are super important to keep in mind as the future generations approach this -never in our lifetimes did we expect to be SO contriversial of a topic. Isn’t ‘weather’ supposed to be small talk!!! hahhaa. Geeze.
I love to help with the education of common sense, less polution, more efficiency, more natural solutions, smarter logistics that pollute less, better conditions for animals, agriculture, food overall.. our ecosystems, plants, surroundings. I was like ‘WTF!? when i first arrived in seattle. With the reputation its local celebrities have, you think it’d be a rainforest city, or at least some more respect for hte environment. Feels like a joke. So… yeah, I wanna see everyone step it up. Let’s start with the kids. Think big and learn to be groudned - with our ground hahah. (and not grounded in the bad way. like when you get in trouble and are trapped at home. Instead: grounded - like connecting with earth hahahah. I love it!!! what a good anaology - see!! I am born for this job! Let’s consider mindsets and reality and how to step forwards calm and collected… with a dash of cool!
Until next time, I wish you the motivation and success to search for opportunities around your area. Search and explore: Who is out there giving talks? There are new things happening all of the time.
Find relatable or interesting topics you like and check them out! Maybe even something hosted at a cool venue, if there’s no other reason to go. Let’s see what you can learn and discover not too far from home. 😊
