Miscommunication, Cute Partner, Green Slides, Warm Lights, and Half-Glass Birds

My dream was that I was with a big group of people on something like ‘Big Brother’ or a reality tv show, but also maybe it was work cause I never figured out if we are stuck there or not (like “living there”… I think so). But at one point, I kept kinda pissing off other people and offending them by mistake.  Two of my sorta friends, both girls were both mad at me. But it’s cause they kept offending me, too.  

We’d been out in some sort of an activity room/area before that and either they’d kept bumping into me, or doing something…

Then I was doing some work at a computer and on the computer you were able to see replay videos of what had just happened.  It was like two small desks with big desktop computers both against a white wall, and I was at the computer on the right and a girl I was sorta annoyed with but getting along alright, she was to my left. 

And I was talking about how I was so cold too, and so there was a heater nearby, right on the wall between the two computers so she scooted over a bit more so I could have more heat, and I was getting the warmth from the heater. 

And this part of the dream the ‘camera angle/perspective’ was almost looking over my shoulder.  We just were the two of us and to the right of me was a doorway into more of an activity room/area.  Then to the left was like a half-wall, leading to a kitchen or something.

So I was liek, “ugh” you know? Trying to explain to them, “Like, see?  This is why you guys are bothering me” (and one lady, a third, older Indian lady was over to talk to me) and trying to console me and I was like see, this is why I don’t (and she tried to answer my sentence for me saying something else) and instead I said, “talk to anyone” and then she was like.. “oh, wow, fine. I see”. And got offended that I said I don’t want to talk to anyone, and I didn’t mean HER too… but she took it like I don’t even want to talk to her. And then she walked away.  Which made me frusterated and sad, cause I appreciated her trying to come and support/advocate for me.

And then I was talking to the original girl, who I was also getting annoyed with and bothered by too, like “ugh! I even pissed her off (the Indian lady) and she’s the one trying to help me most.”

So, then I got flustered but I as like ugh, wahteve.r. There was more going on with that before but I can’t quite remember, just that there was a big group of probably 20-40 people part of this sorta contest/game which we’d finished a while back and were having ‘down time”…  BUT then we got an update from like the game leaders that we had to go to a new place and it was pretty far away. It was a bit like “amazing race” but eerything was going to be underground/indoors - probably.  We had to make our ways to this new area and the guy was explaining how to get there but I wasn’t paying so much attention cause he was giving these never-ending details. I was like thinking, “omg this guy is taking A LOT about how this is far away and how we’d have to travel and travel and all this stuff, down all these halls and everything.”  It was a lot of traveling we’d have to do and I think it was something about partnering up.  

But first we started heading out and I was just following the crowds kinda, to figure out which hallways to go down.  People were running some but walking some, too.  And it was like in this sorta school hallway but not a school exactly cause it was super nice like almost like Harry Potter with los of wooden hallways and nice carpets and not super tall ceilings, especially down the halls. At one point I walked by liek a classroom that was pretty thin in width and they had a big window from the hallway like a glass wall and then the door right next to it and there wa a kid taking to the teacher and it was a bit of “transition time” an the kid was talking to the teacher and they were sorta resolving why he had been in trouble and the lesson he’d learned.  It was something racist, too. I remember he was being racist but hadn’t realized it, so the teacher was trying to figure out a “politically correct” way to explain that he’d been quite rude. From what I overheard but don’t remember the exact details. Someting about a protest or a comment he made. But you could see like the chalkboard up in front of the classroom and then lots of desks and kids were going to take their seats except the one talking to the teacher at the front. 

So then this very handsome guy I didnt know well decided to partner with me, like he asked if I’d go with him and I was pretty happy about it.  And he was like, “Do you know where to go?” And I told him how I wasn’t quite sure, but when I lived in china I never knew here things were a lot of the time but I’d just use my best judgment and follow the crowds and usually could find where to go. Even, randomly, not short after some people who were super cool/cute from when I was a younger kid were there, asking me for advice on how to get places (but they were grown up, my age now) and I was like, “Yeah I wasn’t paying much attention”, so they start to try to help us - and themselves figure it out. Like a team of 4. Two other guys I used to know when I was young.

So then we were walking different ways down the halls and even looking at a digital map, and it was a map of liek earth and Europe and it had different green and blue dots on it and it showed like, wow, we may be traveling a long way (but all through this school/building and through hallways).  Like it had either the green dots or blue dots which we had to travel to, and I was thinking, hopefully it’s the blue cause they’re closer to where we are now.  And it was almost like we were starting in Turkey, cause it was near a lot of water.  But it wasn’t a real map of the world cause the geography wasn’t quite the same, cause it looked like Turkey was right next to Japan, and we’d be going to what looked like Japan, possibly, cause it was like across the water nearby… and if not we’d be going super far to like Spain, you know?  Like really far if it were the green dots.

So then we kept going and traveling, mostly to the left whenever there was a fork in the hallways.  

And at one point, I went off on my own down some hallways to the right.  And then I was like, uh, I don’t think this is right- and then I turned back around and ran into people going the other way and I thought, “see, its good I listened to my intuition and went back before going too far down this hall to the right or else I’d have lost everyone”.  Cuase the way I’d been going, those people were going to class… with backpacks, and when i turned around, I saw people who weren't wearing backpacks and part of the school, people who were part of the contest.  Cause it was a blend of peopel just living their normal day with people part of this adventure contest.
So then some other peopel were asking us if we knew where to go, and then one guy was like, “I know this place, don’t worry, let me see if lunch is over”.  He said “I’ll go up here first (pointing to these distinctive green stairs) and you guys don’t follow me quite yet incase it’s not.”

So then we sorta followed him but had to wait a bit and it was like a sorta mezzanine area but lots of stairwells to go upstairs mostly down and very like wide but then some green sorta winding stairwells, and those appeared to be the ones that would go up to the students but seemed a bit ‘offlimits’. And then he’s like, oh yeah lunch isn’t over yet.  Just be cautious as you go up, you know, be respectful cause they’re still in the middle of their day.

And then we went upstairs anyways and there were even more green stairs and normal wooden stairs, but these green ones were more windy. And the kids were transitioning out of lunchtime.  And then you could see on these green stairwells the almost shapeed like slides and the stairs were so short and they were rounded, like the shape of the overall stairwell and very flat, so it was liek a slide but with stairs sorta alternating on the sides and very shallow, so there were kids actually sliding down on them but the include was steep enough so that if the didn’t keep their footing they woudl fall down.

Like one kid was going down the green slide/stairs but too quickly so you could see him tumble and flip, but he ended up fine.

And then, we sorta transformed to a new room and there were kids lining up and in groups with their teachers and then the teachers were liek, “Waht the heck, you didn’t even finish cleaning up, you should tell me when you dont’ even clean off your kimono.”  Which was a weird way to describe it cause he didn’t have a kimono on. And then you can see kids have liek soap still on them as if they just took showers or something too, but they were still wet.  But in full clothes, but they had like leftover soap on their chins and stuff, like a soap beard.  A number of kids, almost like when men shave their beards but miss a spot with the shaving cream.

And that was kinda weird and I was laughing with my partner who was hugging me a lot and I liked a lot. We were laughing about how these kids were at lunch, finishing up lunch, but also had soap on their faces?  So what was even going on?  

I liked how he was like hugging me so much and cute, but also, I was annoying everyone else, and like thinking, “Am I not good at holding onto relationships, just starting them?  You know?”  I felt like if he talked to any of those girls earlier, he’d wonder why I had created so many bad relationships and had so many outstanding awkward situations… right? Or maybe he wouldn’t care. And actually, I felt we didn’t know each other well enough, so it was hard to say.

So, then these kids are like, some of them didnt do a good job cleaning themselves up after lunch and I notice they’re wet, but then suddenly, (the ceiling was so high but then with shorter parts, like were were in sorta food court almost with different areas that were shorter) and then suddenly the like fire sprinkelers go off, but they’re more sorta fancy than that.  And then it starts pouring down water lightly, but increases over time.  So we run and try to find somewhere to go and get out of the water, me and my partner.

And I realize at first I’m carrying him on my back and then running to somewhere that is dry, but we can’t find anywhere and also I’m like thinking to myself - “No! Dont’ carry him, let him try to solve this for me”. And then we eventually find somewhere to get sorta dry.  But I was in a spot I found that wasn’t dry enough, still getting wet from the ceiling and then he’s a bit defeated and almost doesn’t want to be my partner, and I’m like, “Well, what do you think?”  We realize there are lots of lights on the ceiling, these warm lights, and if you stand under the warm lights it’s super super warm and can dry you.  Even though they’re tiny areas below so we had to hug tight.

So we go and find some warm lights to stand under - but like, everyone in this game/quest is in this same predicament and idk how they’re doing with this water as well, only focused on us two 

And then we find some warm lights to stand under, at fist we stand under some that are directly above and its so nice cause we can warm up and dry off a bit.  

And then we go over to these other warm lights that are like angled and get the warmth and dry off a bit there too, but had to run over there under the water.

And there some animals around which show up, but more beautiful and different than I’d ever seen.  

Cause I’m telling him to look, like “WOW look at these birds!”  And these birds are incredible cause the bottom half of them is clear/transparent/glass and the top half is colors and normal, but amazing colors.  

So then there are ducks, too, and these sorts smaller ducks with glass/clear bottoms and then amazing colors on top.  And this whole time he’s hugging me, and we’re under this warm light trying to warm up and dry off, but while there, the birds/ducks are near, and then he reaches out his hand to try to get one’s attention and see if it will climb up on his hand, but then it does!  And I’m surprised… and he’s super happy.

I felt like these new birds must not have been bothered by modern-day problems, but were still were trusting of humans. That’s why they interacted so effortlessly when prompted.

But then my alarm went off to wake up and start my amazing Sunday. Sundays are my favorite day of each week.

Usually, I don’t use an alarm except for Sundays.
