The Ghosted Speech That WAS, wasn’t, wasn’t AGAIN IRL.

This song came to me. I haven’t heard it for over a decade. It’s relatable these days.*

• TLDR

  I was scheduled to speak. I showed up. I helped. I even worked on Mother’s Day. Then I got ghosted. Multiple times. So now? I’m taking a break from events and focusing on KT and this speech still deserves airtime. I’ll post it soon, on my own terms.

  • Red flag: Helping for free doesn’t mean people will follow through. Even with great ideas, blogs, and time given.

I was brought in to give a speech for an event I truly was hyped about. I donated a LOT of my time to help with planning, gave a billion great ideas, wrote blogs, and helped on Mothers Day… only to find out I’d been forgotten on the schedule, totally ignored. Then, when I asked about it, I was ghosted… thrice. By three people, each twice. Oof. What a lot of math - AND unresolved awkwardness. I’m sure they’ll eventually follow up. They got my time, they got my mind, they got my heart for then… but the loop is closed and Kelly Tutors’ “week off of events” starts early.

Why Attend: I’ll record and post my speech here eventually. And then, instead spend my time working on my projects and website!! (instead, if you’ve read my past few blogs, you know KT is COOKIN’ over here. Chef Tutors embracing the spices of life!)

Why give this speech eventually? It’s the best. I love this speech that I have prepared and I think it explains a lot. A lot about our current economy, what’s going on with inflation, new mindsets in investing, great ways to help. I wrote this speech specifically for this group and it rocks…. but yeah, I need a min to regroupppp.

*(also, are you proud I learned how to link a video in my website lolll. though it may bring commercials and dumb videos into my website - eew. but yeah. for now we do this. maybe i can make a legal-remake one day!!! rightt? that’s the legal way to do it 😁. post that and say “look up the real song to find it”)
