Can’t Stop Being Obsessed with GameStop: 2025 Awards Show Reaction Blog

It’s GameStop time all the time… and especially for this awards show!! According to the internet, it’s not their first awards show. But it’s the first I’m attending/ever heard of. I’m excited to see what they celebrate, who they celebrate, and how they’re prioritizing their attention on others. As much as I would LOVEEEE to attend this in person, I can’t. I’ve got other commitments for my evening. But I will watch it on twitter, even if that means making a new twitter account. Maybe it should be Kelly Tutors related. Right? Probably.
Why Attend: I believe in the GameStop stock and won’t stop cheering for this company… probably never stop. Why? Because it stands for truth, empowerment, power back to the people, transparency in markets, protecting children and animals, standing for something bigger than yourself, and just the fun of games and learning. I have similar goals to the top leaders of this company and want to see many of the same things. I want for edutainment to be cool again and I want for there to be less aggression, violence, and normalized killing. I believe the values that GameStop upholds are fantastic… and it’s not so clear for most of hte public to see… but when you look at what the company is truly trying to accomplish in the longrun (or so they say) it’s incredible and admirable. I stand by them and am happy to be an investor and super fan. I may not always get things right, but I’m trying to get better every day. And I’m proud to stand by this company + the future they want to empower.

- WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY DOING STARTING THIS EVENT WITH “GRAB YOUR POPCORN???” Geeze. Geeze louise. GEEZE LOUISE people. Are you playing games with my heart? Or here to help. I think the lattterrrrrr. Now, let’s climb up this ladder and see what’s going on.
So, for the record, I can only attend maximum of 45 minutes of this. I’m not sure how long it’ll last, but, that’s the best I can do. Now… let’s see what’s going on. I feel like it’s going to have a fun intro - maybe even music. Let’s seeee. I’m hypeeddddddd.
Alright. The games have almost begun and the elevator music is pretty typical. Not too noteworthy, but not-NOT noteworthy. Almost sounds like the background of a video game. May even be. But I don’t know.
Also, I ran to change outfits due to the mention of popcorn. Just gonna embrace the madness.
And I got myself fake popcorn.. the best I have is pirates booty.
Also, you’d never believe but I’ve got a guest with me to watch and embrace this event. So, that’s who is here in the pics. Though, I’ve asked them to please be almost 100% quiet cause this event is very important to me. And no judgement please hahaha. Or at least none I know of, unless its positive, of course. hahahaha. Okay? Haters are plentiful.
This “waiting” intro is so long. What the heck are they doing for these 5 minutes? Is “the news” covering this? No… but… I guess retail investors aren’t always on time or something? What the heck. But. Okay. We’ll wait. And post on social media in the meantime.
And btw - the clouds they have in their “waiting” GIF or wahtever look like fake clouds. eyeroll. I miss real looking clouds. Puffy ones.

This guy is funny. The intro guy. And they’ve got a few burns.
Yeah - only at gamestop do peopel care about htis stuff as much as you. But I want them to have more events for the stock holderssss.
YEAH THIS COMMUNITY MAKES GAMESTOP gamestop (which many peopel don’t understand, like all of my family and IRL friends). I like this guy yelling at the gamestop people, that’s like, me yelling at them teh other day for not letting me be a lucky winner. But those employees didn’t seem like diamond-handed apes… in the way that I am.
Okay the first winner is up… 4 nominees. (this is so fun!!! I feel liek this is so fun for the gaming community)

It’s fun to hear them talk about all of these games, but I can’t wait till they’re more EDUTATINING and educational. That’ll be fun too.
I wanna hear nostalgic games appreciated again.
wait what? Now they’re talking about the epic skater games. Brigning it back!! I love these games (or did as a kid). I wanna play these games and get them.
Too bad that trade-in event wasn’t WORTH THE VALUE OF YOUR TRADE or else I’d have lots of money to spend there. But it was still fun to get my daughter a gift.
This next game is about the simpsons, though I’ve never seen it - but I heard its a wild show.
This guy hosting is so freaking funny. Its’ like why is he hosting it if he doesn’t even visit the stores hahahah. I love it. How the retail investors are the truth of gamestop, not even the store itslef. ITs just like a joke but real, about how gamestop is so much more.
Okay - the winner of the best thing sold at gamestop? They dind’t even explain it!?!?!? hahhaha.
OMG now they’re making fun of a gamestop youtuber. I don’t recognize him. Is he real? Or is this making fun of people. This guy did a real thing? Idk. I’m so out of touch with GameStop fan videos hahaha. II like my own little gamestop world, but… probably shoudl look into more. hahaha. I’m sure I’d love it.
but i’m not a huge fan of this guy’s freakout voice. But he’s funny and true, he’s like “why are you caressing the seat like that” - good question.
BTW this fake popcorn is nice to snack on.
EEw the next one is freaky five nights. I don’t like that brand. Freaks me out. All of these games freak me out. I don’t like being scared.
Okay, scariest game of the year?
Yeah now i realize that gamestop is fun for its community too, the entertainment it provides through people playing its games, even as you wait for MOASS.
Okay here we go. This arcade thing is up. I’ve had some strong reactions to these in the past which I wont’ get into now. But… happy to see it here. ANd there are even more people here. It was 30k and now its 47… so yeah, retail is running late.

I like the tone of this video. It’s such a tone of humor that is hard to match and I’m sure many would not even get.

They say this has been a great year for games, which is easy to say every year, but this game especially.
there is a lot going on and so little time, yet only one game can get this next award

These games have beautiful graphics and look so fun. And its nice they’re all already available to play - and probably you can buy them used (cheaper!)

Venue (3.1/5): I wish i could watch it from the storeeeee!! But, I need to prioritize my family/daughter. And “the internet” will have to suffice.
Food (5/5): I have great tea and food at my house. The lemon pepper chicken was too good. I have a good chef at my home :) to say the least.
Speaker Content (5/5) - incredible. i’m speechless. it was amazing and i lvoe the future of humor
Networking: (2/5) - if i were more chatty and paying attention to the chats, maybe. but… no. but also it was nice to have company at my house and dinner madeeee and not being judged for loving gamestop!!
Likeliness to Return (5/5) - 100% duh. for so many reasons. this was amazing on almost ever level (though they need better games hahahahahah)
