A guy I know - and met at one of my FIRST-ever blog events - maybe my first or second-ever blog?? It was about the Mars group I joined for a lifetime membership 😂. He (Favian Valencia) is running for Congress! And randomly invited me to his fundraiser. So, I told him I’d attend and write a blog on it. He’s an interesting guy - when we met, he was living out of a cool van (like, in a not-homeless way, but in a semi-luxury glamping kinda way) so that he could travel all around and such. He also worked as a lawyer standing up for people’s rights. I don’t remember the details. Though I remember he also said he was at the Mars event cause he wanted to be a lawyer for astronauts - so a Mars event was a good place to meet real ones. Well, a few years later, he’s getting into politics. So, let’s check it out.

Why Attend: I mean, I got invited, it’s a fascinating event. Maybe he will win!! IDK. I did write a blog about a mayor a few weeks ago who chickened out of being vulnerable and just leaned on ChatGPT to write him a speech ON THE SPOT at a ChatGPT event (but also he was gaslight/bullied) - and… have some recurring themes I find about politicians (the phrase “never thought I”d be here” or “I feel lucky to be here,” or “someone like me up here”) seems to be a common thread. So let’s see if that happens here.

Photo Collage and Commentary

Notes from the Event:

Wow - weirdly enough, I was having a meeting in the SAME BUILDING right before this. Then when I went to look up the address, I was already there. Just on the 2nd floor and his meeting was at the 3rd lollll.

I really don’t know a lot about this guy. I wanted to be better friends when we met the first time, but it just didn’t work out. LOL. I remember the second time we were hanging out for a bit, sitting in some chairs of a speech, but then he had to leave early for a salsa class, and then that’s the last time we ever talked - till today.

I know he has a podcast and seems to have a good heart. And the second-to-last time that I talked to him at length (years ago), I told him about this creepy event I’d been to the week or a few before in NYC, where I overheard people talking about doing terrifying things the night before/day after. At the time, this was more surprising, confusing, and startling, I feel, than these days (just with the Epstein Files and all that has come out with that and the more Hollywood/etc whistle-blowing on itself)… But yeah, hahaha. Let’s see what goes on at this event. And I would/wouldn’t be surprised if he remembers that convo - but, I don’t think we’ll chat about it at this event. He’ll likely be busy.

  • Also, I remember he explained the word “governance” to me

  • And he was involved in some “dao” blockchain/crypto communities he ended up leaving.

    • which is why/how that freaky story came up. Cause that event I’d been to was tied to a completely different “dao” crypto community that was hosting an event for “GameStop people” in NYC - but not Gamestop related? IDK still murky - but I was … “lucky enough” to go… thoguh terrified after. But anyway, enough about GameStop 😜 (aka the best company on Earth and will eventually have justice SERVED!!!).

  • Here are my notes:

Okay - he’s going to give a quick speech

Wants to inspire people.  To run for government and be more brave, themselves

  • His first run as a politician.  The

Central Washington district from Oregon to Canada.

Thank you for being here. Means everything to him.  Really mean it

He did talk to me for a while earlier, right before this speech, BTW. Which surprised me.

His background - born in Illinois, his parents were farmworkers and he’s a second-generation USA citizen - moved around southern California all the way to Washington and Illinois, among the seasons.

  • He grew up as a migrant farmworker.  Picking cherries, apples, etc.

He’s been a civil rights attorney, and he’s a business owner.

  • Started a cafe 3 years ago, with his mom, himself, and 3 sisters.  The best coffee shop in Yakima voted/awarded last week

He’s a well-rounded business owner.  Been representing people against corporations.

  • Why run as an independent?  Grew up a Democrat and even did a DC internship with a Democrat - right now the two-party system is turning us apart.  Blame instead of solutions. When our representatives want to find a solution outside the party agenda, people get kicked out.  Too tribal. Need new ideas and people to implement these ideas.

Also running a grassroots treasurer and janitor.  All the hats.  Excited to do it this way.  Respond directly to supporters and constituents.  Doesn’t have to answer to super PACs.

  • Believe that is what democracy should be.

That’s what George Washington did.  One of the first independent presidents.

  • lol and the first president hahaha.

  • He cautioned against tribalism

As a grassroots organization, asking for money and other ways to support.

  • Don’t donate over 7,000 - anywhere from $10 to 7,000

Sometimes money is not a good way. But even by being here is a huge support.  Besides money, literally talk to your friends about the issues.  Even if they don’t want to support him, maybe you have a friend in his region who wants to come to an event or meet him.

  • Literally like things, for socials. The only way he can win this is to become a social media influencer.  Straight doing reels and so if you check out his socials, he’s focused. Facebook and Instagram.  Videos of walk and talk.  Talk about what he stands for to get ideas out there.

Whether you resonate or not, get the ideas out there.

  • People coming together and talking about what needs to get done and how to improve things.

10 are running for Congress, 7 republicans and 2 are Trump-endorsed.  That may work in his favor.  There is a way to win it, and its traditionally republican district.  But so many republicans are fighting.  And he’s just staying out of their way and under the radar.  To run an honorable, clean race with ideas that help people.

  • That’s good.

One thing he was just telling (kelly/me) about - if it achieved one thing, LOL - heyyy

He says this is the craziest thing he’s ever done, but if you get inspired to do things even crazier, literally, reach out to a friend you disagree on views.

  • Try to connect and find common ground

  • Volunteer at the humane society or something

Taking care of communities is where it starts.  In the next election cycle.  Sometimes seats go unopposed.

So if it does anything, I hope it inspires you.  His slogan is “better together”.

Congress, we need good people there.

Someone asks how doorbelling is going - he will start on the 14th on Saturdays in two weeks.  60 people agreed to volunteer.

Going to be part of a parade but not going to hand out candy.  Against sugar

  • lol amazing. He should lean into this. Parents will love it.

I brought up a lot of stuff about child trafficking - how only 31 people were arrested all of last year in this city of 800,000, yet 20,00 ads go out per day.  And 200 people responded to a 2 hour add the police put out about a 15-year-old girl selling sex? 200 people responding in 2 hours TO BUY SEX WITH A 15 YEAR OLD GIRL!?!?!

  • and we learned 5% of men pay for sex. yet 20% of men don’t care if their friends do. :(

There were only effing 31 arrests last year while 20,000 ads go out daily!?!?!??
This is horrific. They’re completely underfunded. People would rather not talk about it.

  • And the “buyers” pick migrant kids or kids who “don’t look like them” when the most common demographic is white men making 6 figures or more. These are central/south americans (so many in the last administration caught at the border), often poorer black children, and random foster kids who are forgotten - AND families!!! So many families sell their kids. Anway. It’s a huge issue he could get a lot of support on, stand out from the candidates, and hopefully make a change.

  • He said he can’t imagine how hard it is. He has younger sisters and nieces, and wants to support this and support officers trying to stop this

  • Representative Massey - Epstein files need to be released

    • The Trump administration has been more aggressive here than any previous administration. Truly. All this info was there during Biden. But cricket.

    • Only a handful of representatives are standing up, getting files released and prosecutions.  Support authorities following up with that.

  • I said there’s a huge opportunity here

    • He asked what I mean?

  • I said how much people don’t even realize it’s underfunded. And so undertaken care of.  Yet most of us can agree that this is bad.  People are just too scared to talk about it.  Or unaware. Or its too sad it just gets forgotten in plain sight.

    • But it’s a multi-billion-dollar industry here in the USA.

  • He said he’d be happy to stand up for that - I said lots of people don’t talk about it. They’re too scared.

    • But it’s a huge opportunity; many people would get behind him and be proud that someone is finally helping. Even the police and many people may be so relieved and happy to support him, and grateful. Families, so many people. Communities. Makes me think of this blog I wrote while at the Mars Convention Last Year: Human Trafficking In Transit to Mars.

    • I sent him info on this stuff -> https://www.kingcountycsec.org/data

    • And my two blogs on the training I went to lately

    • YAY!  That’s an issue many people can get behind.

  • Then he mentioned to the crowd that I/kelly have a blog and we can check it out. Ahahah omg.

  • He said we don’t need to get rid of ICE, but we need to reform it

    • Agreed.

  • We started ICE in 2003.

    • The main role is to get human traffickers convicted.  The way it has been weaponized - not okay.

    • We nee dot get back to its purpose.  Actual training

    • Help people get citizenship

      • Yeah! Like my daughter’s grandmother

  • Lots more peopel are asking questions.

  • One girl said she can’t rationalize how the migrant workers, illegal or not, corporations or farms etc.  They benefit from the work of these people.  Especially if they don’t have to be paid fairly.

    • The people - we haven’t heard outrage about not hiring illegal immigrants.  Didn’t fill out the proper paperwork.

  • Farm workers aren’t given union protection like other industries.  Do you have any aspirations to address those issues in your role.

  • More people died in 2025 in ICE/camp custody than ever before.

    • I looked it up: 30 to 32 deaths, depending on the source, matching or exceeding the previous record set in 2004.

  • Workers in the fields?  His goal is that even the ones we don’t agree with - he’s gone to visit some farms and started to talk to farmers.  He noticed that there are good cops and bad cops.  Same as good farms that want to get their workers legalized.  So they don’t have to fear waking on the street and not coming back to kids.  Farmers are - a lot of them - want the same thing everyone wants.  We want to have people contribute legally and live in our community fairly.

    • Bro. I lived in China for 4 years, and it’s like, you can’t just go live illegally somewhere. That’s how it is all over the world. So, I feel like it’s fair for the USA to straighten things out - THOUGH - it needs to be done in a civil way. But… idk. I just think, like, we have been pretty loose lately (especially in teh biden administration), and enough is enough. Let’s get back to following the rules and making things fair.

  • He represents the majority of farm workers.

  • I’m thinking: BRO!! Trump should endorse him hahaha. All the time he’s talking about how we need to preserve the strength of farms. Proper immigration. Human Trafficking. Entrepreneurship.

  • He wants people to feel safe and want to contribute

He said AI may be one of our only hopes to get out of this recession (agreed, I think we can solve a lot) and we wanna make sure everyone is benefiting from it. (love that)

  • I mean, I entered the freaking white house’s AI presidential challenge and proposed to them 💍. And Trump is funding hundreds of billions for AI innovation . Anway.

  • Someone asks him: why Congress instead of something lower power?

He said he had a heart-to-heart with ChatGPT.  He did a big research project as to if he should run for state.  Or local.  He looked at his chances in that race and it would have been him versus the Republican. His chances were better here.

Ironically, he has a better shot at this. He feels qualified.  Not qualified but when he started his law firm he had no clue what he was doing.  Similar endeavor.  Not an insider but that makes him even more qualified.  Fresh ideas and nw perspective.

  • Get up to speed and be just as good as any other ten candidates that are running.

  • He thinks he can do well.

He said if he’s misguided or messing up, you know where to find me.  Push back on me.

  • If I announce a stance that we dont’ agree with - he needs us to keep him aligned.

  • - it is lonely and he relies on our guidance and ideas.

What have democrats done wrong in recent years?
- for him, it stated… he’d voted for Kamala but it left a bad taste in his mouth when we weren’t allowed to have the decision as a people.  And it was last minute and we coudl have done something better than Kamala (versus Trump)

He thinks she was qualified but it was a bad taste that we didn’t get to vote in our democracy.

  • let’s agree to disagree. I have concerns about her trafficking enforcement. :(

As democrats, you now?  I’m pro Business and pro (idk what he said)

  • He doesn’t agree with “kill the rich” or “tax billionaires out of existence” - that’s not a good perspective to have

In the USA, any one of us can become a billionaire or a trillionaire.  That’s what we want America to stand for: opportunity.

  • agreed. It’s why I’m literally trying to be a billionaire, too. To influence huge change and make the world better. Glamorize education, etc.

But we think they have too much money now? I think that’s one of the parts I disagree with. I know that’s unpopular.  We can have trillionaires as long as they play by the rules.

  • love it.

We don’t want to let the billionaires and trillionaires take over the election.  That’s something to push for.

  • Term limits and for how individuals can only donate $7,000 you can donate millions with a Super PAC.

Both trump supporters are at about 500k.  Maybe will raise 2-5M each.  To talk shit about him.

  • So if we see commercials, there will be bad ones saying he screwed every company in Yakima.  But these are ad agencies

One girl says: You can’t become a trillionaire playing by the rules.

  • The golden rule, the Ten Commandments.  Whatever rule book doesn’t get you a trillion dollars.

  • Scrooge McDuck is rich: taking advantage, exploiting the environment, and human

There are a few ways to become a trillionaire but it’s not ethical - not by selling books.

  • It’s by strong-arming other companies and price-setting.

No better time than now to be outside, not an insider, not on that list.  Not in those files.  Not in Cahoots with what the majority of the population of this country are over.

We want an even playing filed.  Everyone to play by the same rules.

The rules right now are skewed to the billionaires.

The big beautiful bill, a lot of money is going to benefit the ultra-wealthy.  We want everyone to play by the rules.

  • Some billionaires aren’t even asking for that money.

  • I looked it up and its true: Over the next decade, the Big Beautiful Bill will cut taxes for the richest 1% of Americans by more than $50,000 per year per household, according to estimates from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office. Starting in 2029, those making $30,000 a year or less would actually see a tax increase, while the top 0.1% would get a $309,000 tax cut on average — more than three times what a typical American household earns in an entire year.

    • Trump's intent as he describes it is genuinely populist — tips, overtime, Social Security. Those pieces are real and do help working people. But the math heavily favors people who were already winning. That gap between the stated intent and the actual distribution is exactly the kind of thing Favian — as both a civil rights attorney and a business owner — is positioned to call out without being partisan about it. It's not a left or right critique. It's just arithmetic.

Someone in the audience said Bezos is actually proposing that people who make under $100k not even pay taxes.  We need to work and make sure rules are fair for everyone.   Extreme wealth disparity, so much that even a billionaire is saying this is over the top.

He’s purposefully not asking for people he doesn’t want to get money from.

  • All the time he’s talking with AI

  • Said to call people and ask for money.

Need people knocking on doors.

  • I told him to host dances too hahah. Like Seattle’s Dancing Til’ Dusk.

His goal is to inspire people to have fun and be braver.

  • Some people think he’s full of shit

  • But that helps him get ready for when that comes up.

  • Have fun, inspire people, and not lose his soul.

I told him to pay attention to his clothes on camera - jewel tones. Then people will subconsciously not be able to help but look at him on the TV and pay attention.

  • A girl in front of me has a whole book on this, hahaha.

  • Ralph Nader had written a book.  Talked a lot of shit about democrats, but he wrote a book dedicated to the Democratic Party.  Instructions on how to not lose this next campaign.  This whole world might count on it.

  • Instructions: how to win a campaign in this exact political scenario.

    • Have a list of the local people’s values, then demonstrate where the other candidates stand on those issues (maybe self-serving with super pac, corporate money, not actually conducive to them)

Make it clear and obvious that you’re in the same mindset as them.  Candidates are not.

A lot of very detailed step-by-step instructions for how to win a campaign are given right now, the vast majority of the people are disillusioned by the status quo and parties in power.

We were talking later about how he’s able to talk casually with civilians but also knows legalese like (one girl said: the reptilians in government).

  • True. Literally. The Anunnaki, etc. Let’s drain the swamp.

Before we said goodbye, he said for me to be honest about my thoughts in this blog - so I’m grateful for that. I said I’d be happy to help more if he’s back in town. For family events maybe.

  • A number of people in the audience thanked me for my work and for speaking up about human trafficking (especially with kids). I said yeah, thanks. You know?

    • I’d felt like I was carrying the weight of the world before the Epstein files dropped, and more people could/were talking about this stuff. I’m just glad it’s more out in the open.

    • Cause I figured out a lot of it a few years ago and… it was really hard to carry alone. But now I’m more vocal than ever since it's finally more out in the open. And I won’t stop. Can’t stop.

      • “Children and animals must be protected at all costs.” - Ryan Cohen.

        • “Agreed.” - Kelly Tutors

BONUS ESSENTIAL WRITE UP:

I looked at some of his recent social media posts and saw they’re often based around not being a fan of Trump. So, here are a lot of thoughts on that. FAVIAN: you realize half the people who voted for Trump would nod along to most of this, right?‍ ‍Maybe even Trump himself. 😂. Maybe lol. Take or leave it… this is a lot of info:

Favian is way more aligned with Trump voters than he thinks; stop centering on anti‑Trump branding and lead with farms/AI/trafficking/fair rules. :)

TLDR: Many of the themes he spent the evening talking about (community, entrepreneurship, anti-corruption, AI, human trafficking, immigration reform, grassroots organizing, and frustration with political tribalism)… are themes that resonate with many Trump voters too.

Apply your own "better together" philosophy to Trump supporters, too.

  • I know that Favian said he doesn’t want to talk badly about other candidates, but talking badly about the current administration also isn’t a good look. Just talk about your goals.  Cause lots of people don’t feel comfortable saying they like Trump aloud. Myself included a lot of the time. And this general attacking at him doesn’t help.

  • Building a campaign around not liking Trump is a complete losing game.  Not because Trump is perfect. Because voters already priced in their feelings about Trump's personality and voted for him anyway.

  • I love Trump’s current fight to straighten up Wall Street once and for all - my biggest fight of all and the endless ripple effects this will fix forever. I’ll get into that after this next chunk - but first:

    • Running against Trump as a big part of your platform tells voters nothing about what you'd actually do for them. And it’s like “old news” mainstream/unoriginal to “not like Trump.”

      • - and quickly makes potential voters uninterested if they do like Trump. (probably like how I’d feel if I didn’t know Favian and hadn’t heard him in person and even talked about human trafficking like I did - and got a response from him.) I’d just have turned away. It’s boring and not interesting to me.

      • “oh, your campaign is ‘not liking trump’ - that’s unoriginal and too close-minded,” and then flip to something else.

  • I even looked it up: democrats who ran on anti-Trump messaging in 2024 mostly lost. Politicians who talked about specific kitchen table issues did better. The people haven't fully absorbed that lesson yet.

  • Acknowledge what's working with the Trump administration. Seriously. It disarms people immediately. Then make the case for what you'd add or fix. ✌️

  • Let me post the reverse repo charts where you can se how much money was being printed during the Biden era (and Obama) and you can see BOTH terms when Trump was in office, he EXTEMELY respected our economy. It was INSANE how horrific this past administration was with money printing. Horrible. Like we’ve NEVER EVER SEEN ON THIS EARTH.

That mountain of money is why your groceries cost 200% more and won't come back down. Trump inherited that mess. Where did all that cash come from? Trillions in COVID stimulus, PPP loans, enhanced unemployment, and the Fed buying up bonds hand over fist (that's the actual money printing: called quantitative easing). Most of that happened in 2020-2021 and continued through the Biden years with additional spending bills. The mountain you see is the hangover from all of that.

During Trump's first term, the Fed's balance sheet was relatively stable (lower than we’d seen in any administration), and deficit spending was lower, until COVID hit at the very end. During Biden's term, the flood of new money drove prices up on everything. That's why your groceries cost so much more and aren't coming back down. Trump inherited that mess in his second term.

The reverse repo chart is like a thermometer showing how much excess money was already out there. And that thermometer was reading a fever we'd never seen before.

Okay - he said he loves claude and chat gpt so here are some final thoughts on what they have in common, written by AI:

  • Favian is an independent running on fresh ideas, community first, anti-establishment energy, anti-corruption, pro-AI, pro-fair rules.

    • That's like 80% overlapping with what Trump actually does — separate from what people feel about his personality.

    • On the issues that matter most to this district, they're not as far apart as the labels suggest. And that's exactly why he can win.

  • Look at the border; the highest illegal crossings ever recorded were in 2023.  It was the single worst year in recorded history. Over 6 million encounters in four years. That's not spin, that's CBP's own numbers.

    • I’ll add: Illegedly, so many border patrols were committing suicide while watching the trafficking be insane. So many kids and women were taken at the border. Horrible.

  • Biden's numbers: CBP recorded approximately 11 million border encounters over the course of Biden's four years, with an average of nearly 160,000 monthly encounters and a daily peak of 15,000. Homeland Security

  • Trump's numbers: In the first ten months of Trump's second term, there were just 117,105 total enforcement encounters along the southwest border, 37% less than Biden's monthly average.

    • Ten months Trump = less than one month under Biden. FY2025 southwest border apprehensions hit the lowest level since 1970.

      • And so many of these people then got trapped in slavery or exploitation or trafficking.

  • 2020-2022 saw the largest single-year homicide increase ever recorded.

Also - my favorite: Trump’s goals to make the financial markets more transparent and accountable are fantastic for all of us - individuals who aren’t institutional money.

  • The DTCC, naked shorting, settlement failures, payment for order flow, none of that got touched under Biden.

  • Now he’s looking to end it FOR GOOD!!! TO REFORM WALL STREET once and for all!! And save the economy and chance commerce forever.

  • This is what I obsess over daily. It’s super complicated; it’s undoing centuries of corruption. But it’s happening in real time, just taking a while and lots of forces are trying to stop him every way they can.

I think Favian has a great vision, I stand by him on a LOT, but he needs to quit talking down on Trump so much, and maybe talk a bit more about what they agree on - and then what he can do to improve things. :)

Until next time, I wish you the motivation and success to search for opportunities around your area. Search and explore: Who is out there giving talks? There are new things happening all of the time.
