Green Balcony New Apartment, Bird Bath, Daughter’s Honey Sticks and Cut Hair
My daughter and I showed up in this community room of an apartment that was really sweet and modest and lots of people were sitting at chairs in a circle, but not perfect circle, liek a messy circle and then they’relike waht are you doing here? And I say we’re moving in tomorrow. And turns out the apartment manager is there and she’s like, what? And I’m like, well actually not quite but we’re touring the aparment tomorrow but just wanted to stop by today and see what it looks like. The community is excited we’re moving in, or at least considering. Some are more excited than others cause my daughter runs around a bit and some people get a little annoyed by kids, in general.
We go upstairs and the guy goes into his bedroom to give us space to check it out today. He has pictures of himself all over his apartment. But he just give us our space and doesn’t even bother us the whole time>. He really wants to move out, so if we want too ee it a day early, he’s fine with that. Even thought we are officially touring it again tomorrow, too. But we go sit on the balcony and are happy. Some of the neighbors holler at us from their balcony. On the balcony, its really cute and the neighbors all spend more time the balcony too. I set up my hammock ad put out lots of plants. The balconies almost look like they’re made out of super sturdy recycled plastic and they’re lime green and thick material. The apartment is white and about 5 floors at most. Across from it is another apartment but that apartment is just a plain wall, no windows that you can see, then down the opening you can see the playground to one side and then the other side you see there is a basketball court with like a chain link fence that is super tall all around it. It’s a black fence, and then the grassy area near it.
Later people I’m close to check it out and love it, it’s near the basketball court and a park and a green area. So even though the view is worse than my old place, it’s got an amazing location and it’s still pretty nice. So we’re really happy.
Then a boy is in the common area with my daughter. They start to become friends . He’s about 5 years old and keeps hanging around her and it turns out he wants to eat some of the candy she has. She has honey sticks. She she cuts one in half and gives it to him. They’re eating those and sometimes drink Mountain Dew cause tehy can’t find the water right away. This keeps happening cause the water bottles are the same color. But later they have it, which is good, cause I’m like - you guys are drinking too much sugar!! With honey, too?
Later, at first he’s messing with my daughter’s hair. First he touches it and then he realizes it’s really soft and nice, so he helps her comb it with his fingers. The whole time we’re a bit hesitant to this guy cause he’s started like a bit teasing her and being a bully but then he turns more respectful. They enjoy eating their honey sticks even though it’s kinda chaotic cause of of its packaging, its like in a box with the honey stock inside, and so its hard to get the honey since it sorta spills throughout the packing. You have to squish the plastic box to then squish the honey stick inside… so its like ALMOST messy on them, but more just messy amongst itself.
We talk about how to be kind to each other, but then he grabs scissors and cuts to some of her hair. I almost reached at him to stop him, but I didn’t wanna make any fast moves while he had scissors in his hands. But, my daughter thinks that’s funny and I take the scissors from him and I tell both of them not to do this again. Plus, my daughter is trying to grow out her hair long, and I tell her if you keep cutting it, it’ll get shorter. Then she realizes she wants water but grabs Mountain Dew instead cause it’s the same color as her water bottle. Then she’s liek “ew” and finds water.
She has some chickens, pet chickens and they have this bird bath we’d just bought and I want them to see it so they can drink water too. But then they just transform into small birds. I go drink water out of the bird bath to show them how it works cause they’re yet to use it. Then they and go to drink a bit out of the bird bath and its really cute to watch cause one bird, the you’d least expect (lol idk why) but its like a copper collar bird, it goes to fully submerge except its beaks sometimes and bathe in the bird bath. There’s a dog there, too. And this bird bath is indoors. All of this was playing and the birds were indoors in the same room.
Later, I’m back in the lobby. This time I’m not with my daughter, and there are two random piles of clothes for donation, so I go add more clothes to the pile to donate. Both are on separate sides of the lobby. So, after I add clothes, I sit on a couch. Then, my old neighbor from real life is there. He is a bit younger than me, super tall, he has a bit of asbergers. He asks what I’m doing later today? Cause it turns out it’s valentines day. And he’s saying don’t let any men mess with you. If you go downtown, don’t let any men trick you and take advantage of you. I tell him thanks for the advice.
