Ditched Dancing, China Tour, and Swiveling Plane Chair
At the end of my dream a guy asked me to dance and he was with his brother and we’d been touring a house that was really nice. Like EXTRAVAGANT and a bit of a performative house with lots of trinkets and stuff. Lots of candles and cups. Actually, it was the house of a family member of mine (in my dream) but they weren’t home. But at some points he was asking/referring to different styles of China cups and plates and I showed him… like this? And I pulled out my grandma’s old cups and plates that were passed down and he was like, oh yeah, kinda like those.
Then his brother had asked someone I was with to dance and even gave her a ring but he wasn’t serious once he learned that girl was going to fly to New York tomorrow… so she didnt’ live local. I was going to fly tomorrow, too. So his brother asked her to dance and then the guy asked me to dance. I realized that he was cute, not totally my style in his personality, but he was super handsome and maybe there was potential. He wasn’t a very good dancer compared to me (I’m a really good dancer with a partner haha). But still, we were having so much fun. Dancing over and over again dancing to this one song . It was funny, too, cause the floor was super slick so I didnt even need to pick up my feet, he was able to make me glide and skate on the floor.
Then people started recording it and he was liek, telling them, “make a Tik Tok video of us dancing”. So I kinda just laughed and was even a little flattered he wanted me in his social media. But it took everyone so long to get their phones out. During that time, one of my family members asked him, “what are you doing with those rings?” (Cause his brother took back the ring from the girl he’d proposed to and they were sitting on the table) and I told him that I like that family member a lot. He replied to her “I’ll do this and that” and then she looked at me and shook her head, like, basically say, “this guy isn’t good news”. And then finally by the time people were ready to make the ti Tok video he asked the other girl to dance with him, the one his brother had asked to dance. Cause his brother realized he coudnt’ have a future with that girl and then he’d gotten bored of dancing with me, I guess? So then he and that girl filmed the video togehter to dance. She had on a silky off-the-shoulders red gown. Admittedly, that looked better for a video, I guess. And she wasn’t as good of a dancer as me, so that also made him look better since they were more compatible.
Lots else happened in that dream but I can’t remember, mostly cause right at the end of hte dream I was shocked he traded me out for the other girl for his final dance.
He wasn’t especially good at dancing. A nd the place wee were dancing inside was super beautiful and even had a little fence with horses like in the middle of the main room off to the side. And other stuff was going on. But really there were two horses inside this house that was a like a barn/home and it reminded me of this shop in Leavenworth that is part of the Reindeer visiting experience.
Before that, we’d all been on an airplane and realized that you could turn the chairs around 180 degrees. and I was liek what the heck, who knew you could spin these chairs around so you could make the chairs face the opposite direction one by one, so I had me and my neighbor turn our chairs around. My reasoning was that I wanted to read a book or write in my journal or something like that. Turning mine around was taking a long time to turn around so the airplane staff came over to make sure it wans’t an emergency. I guess there was a sensor. I was like, yeah, it’s fine’s just slowly swiveling mine around but can’t quite figure it out, so they helped me.
