Started a Skeptic, Left a Leader: Luxury Cars Lure the Fight Against Human Trafficking
NOTE: this is a more “out there” blog than usual - and its not for the casual reader- at least the first half (but then it gets wholesome 100% so, just skip all of the images and everything till we get to the “ARRIVAL” section fi you’d like). It’s 18+ content and sorta gets into a few conspiracies and theories that most people aren’t interested in reading. It rightfully wanders. So… just, this may not be the blog for you.
Tonight is a big deal. I WOULD be dancing since it’s a Thursday in the summer. But two things are lining up. ONE: the dancing tonight is salsa. I’m just not that into salsa. TWO: tonight is an event at the nearby city called, like, “Drive Away Traffick” (or, let’s be honest, some super dorky named event. I’d literally never name an event on such a terrible topic with such word play - but that’s me), yet it’s about human trafficking. And the more I learn of this topic over the years, the more I realize people need to stand up, be brave, and face it head-on to end it. On both a small and cultural level. I’m not sure how much I’ll get into the “cultural level” of how I’m trying to change things in this blog (though i mean, its like the freakin’ heart and soul of half of the content I make. My content was inspired by educating people in financial literacy, but then I realized even more evil and madness was/is going on so people need help in media/culture/education with LOTS). So yea, let’s go dress to impress and investigate what people are talking about… etc. Cause the trainings I’ve recently been to on sexual exploitation of youth outright said they don’t think this city/state cares about families and children. So, how does this event have so many sponsors? Is it really cause everyones so excited to get “exclusive access” to luxury, classic, and exotic cars? I will be blunt: i get secondhand embarrassment over people who get excited over luxury/expensive things. I feel like its brainwashing in all the wrong ways - i mean, a tiny bit of that world i get - but there are much more noble things you could spend your life/money working on. But anyway.

Anyway, now that I’m a White House Certified Usher, I’m more hardworking and committed to being a warrior of good. “Kelly” literally means “woman warrior,” duh. So let’s go check out this event, look at the fancy cars, and sniff out what’s going on here. I want to work hard to fight human trafficking. It’s the absolute worst… but it just is like, what?
Geeze. I just don’t even want to write out some of what I’m thinking, but this event makes no sense to me. Just go read some of my blogs on human trafficking (HERE, HERE TOO, AND HERE THREE), and you’ll see, like if this were a Venn Diagram, some things line up in the weirdest ways - gahhh.

Like, I actually know the owner of Sugar and Spoon, and she’s kinda amazing and epic. I met her at an event and even wrote about her and how fun she was… but does this trafficking event not realize that some online communities allege that food terms have sometimes been used as coded language? I have not verified that they have any proven meaning—and its presence here is not evidence of wrongdoing—but given the subject matter and other language surrounding this event, the association added to my discomfort. In many accusations, ice cream is (i think/illedgedly) a code word for exploiting humans? (more below)
Idk, some of the elements of this event are quite tone deaf (in the sense of more fringe, well-researched “conspiracy-minded” people, like myself, are like - uh… what??). But, I just want to keep learning more. More verified facts - like i did at this event (which, again, if you made a Venn Diagram of this event’s description and features plus all I’ve learned, you’d see why I’m semi-like uh… what is this event? hahah whatttttt???")
Okay, I went ahead and had AI make a venn diagram for me on my way there. Here we go. Its combining this event’s marketing/description with my training on sexual exploitation of children + another blog about human trafficking. All of those are listed above and again here: (HERE, HERE TOO, AND HERE THREE). I’m not accusing anyone of anything!!! I haven’t even arrived at the event yet. But whoever developed this marketing appears startlingly out of touch with the language, symbolism, buyer demographics, and power dynamics surrounding sexual exploitation. like unbelievably so. Cause so much about this event makes me be like, “what!?!?” hahah whattttt?????

I’ll write this up soon, but overall it was way more amazing and fantastic than I expected and I cried at least 3 times (in a good way) and am more motivated and hopeful and happy than I thoguht I’d be and actually I think this is really something we can achieve - ending human trafficking in Washington State as a start. I actually do. This was a great event. But they REALLY need help with their marketing - as a start. But, I wanna join their team and help them.

Look. I’m a business guy in Bellevue. Love business. Love this area. But we have a business in this area we don’t need. The business of sex trafficking. It’s hideous and awesome. This is a very well-organized business that operates all over Seattle. They have therapists go into malls and solicit. They have transportation use truckers. We’re up against an organized organization.
We want a strategy to fight their strategy. This belongs to the business people to step up and help people. To help and rescue wonderful people. The most incredible thing. Wish I had a microphone and talk to every business guy. You can’t pass this on. I care and you should care. They’re invading our community. God bless you. Thank you. We’re committed. Next guy is a business owner. He’s just gonna speak from his hear. No speech. Dec trafficking and slavery when he heard of this he thought it was in Bulgaria or Thailand. Then he got the stats of his backyard. Happening right this minute in all the nearby cities. Not only aurora. Not just what we see in the news. Most we don’t see. When I heard about this. Kids as young as 13. 6-7000 transactions daily. It broke my heart. He’s a father and grandfather

Vultures and kids who are runaways and lied to. Told they will be models. Promised this and that and end up spaces in the worst slave work you could never imagine in your life.
In his kind and prayers thinking of kids tied up laying on their back, and thinking of talking to god and saying I really need a way out of this, how do I get out.

Just want to provide as much as possible for victims. So everyone in the state of Washington knows there are no off-ramps. They can get off kids and boys. Stuck in trafficking. Appreciate all of you.

It hurts your heart and soul. It’s been years to repair. In two days recovered 3 girls 14 to 17
At 5am her youngest was screaming. Bullets hitting fence. Near children’s window
Over 100 websites advertising sex. Over 30,000 numbers listed and individuals advertising services.
Almost 9,000 unique looking at that website. 9,000 looking to purchase in a 24-hour period.
Beaten and violence with being kept and enslaved.
It’s organized and we need to be organized. We have to look at the entire ecosystem to disrupt it from many angles to keep it from thriving.
Need hope faith love and peace.
Believing in god and giving pain to him.
No one wants the business in our bc communities so we are gathering experts to strategize strategies to make the difference. Exploitation doesn’t belong in Washington.
Next speaker doesn’t want to cry but he needs to say what he needs to say. He’s a vet, and ceo of fathers against human trafficking and online exploitation. It’s become his life's purpose: to fight trafficking, which only happens somewhere else to someone else’s child. Bit thennitnbecamenpersonal. Itnhappenefntonhis daughter. It’s happening to her still. He prayed and he was called upon and it’s his daughter’s story. But it broke his heart as a father. Still breaks his heart. Your instinct is to protect your child. None of the hardest things a parent can face is when you can not fix what is hurting the people you love.
I chose to either let the pain consume him or give him purpose. He chose purpose and founded this company. Learned that many people experiencing this don’t ask for help. Fear, manipulation, shame, and trauma keep them silent
Adults can’t be forced to accept help. But he can help change the environment allowing it to happen
Better execution safer education n leverage experiences to help others. Mentor youth. Want young people t o know their past doesn’t have to determine their future find value and understand someone believes in them. Want to be the father many survivors may not have or still don’t have men and fathers will stand beside them, listen, protect
Mature worthy of love safety healing and hope
This is about love. Love that teaches, refuses to give up. Men especially- we created this issue.
Parent mentor policy leader, no matter what- you have the ability to make a difference. It’s all of our responsibility. Save our daughter, strengthen our sons, and save our youth.

Trafficking is preventable not enviable. But first we have to recognize it’s a profitable business system operating right under our noses everywhere. From nyc to Alaska it’s happened everywhere. It’s a profitable business. Sustained because there are men willing to pay money for sexual access to bodies of vulnerable people. It’s supply and demand.

It’s not lost on me the contrast of the beauty of the cars in this room and the ugliness of the cause. But it’s a business. Any law enforcement here. If you’re under cover, don’t raise your hand. lol.

Sexual exploitation eats away at our health. Collectively, we want to see a climate foster that is inhospitable to the proliferation of sexual exploitation. We need policy law enforcement training. Prevention.
Stopping before it starts. Addressing where it starts. Schools, playgrounds, sports teams. We can all make and create a climate that is inhospitable. There is work for all of us to do.
It’s a heavy hellish thing. There is work for us to do together. Let’s land this plane.
