Printable Booklets, Trading Cards, and a Song -- What's Inside Fairy Tales Rewritten

People always ask me what's actually in the Fairy Tales Rewritten pack, so let me walk you through it -- because it's way more than just four stories.

First, the stories themselves. There are four reimagined fairy tales designed for kids ages 5 to 10. Goldilocks teaches self-worth. Sleeping Beauty introduces consent in an age-appropriate way. The Three Little Pigs models conflict resolution without violence. And The Ugly Duckling shows kids that bullying backfires on the bully. You can also watch YouTube video versions of all four stories, and there's an interactive story experience over at kellytutors.com/stories where kids can engage with the tales on screen.

Now here's where it gets fun.

Each story comes with a printable booklet. These are designed so you can print them at home, fold them up, and your kid has their very own mini-book. Kids go wild for these. There's something about holding a physical booklet they helped put together that makes the stories feel like theirs.

Then there are the worksheets. These aren't boring fill-in-the-blank busy work. They're designed to extend the conversation the story started. If you just read the Sleeping Beauty rewrite and talked about consent, the worksheet gives your kid a way to keep processing that idea through drawing, writing, or simple reflection questions. Same for each story -- the worksheets match the theme and keep the learning going naturally.

The trading cards might be my favorite part. Each character gets a card with their traits and the lesson they represent. Kids collect them, trade them, talk about them. I've had parents tell me their kids carry the cards around and explain the stories to their friends. That's peer-to-peer learning happening organically, and you can't buy that.

And then there's the original song. Yes, I wrote a song for this pack. Because if you've ever had a jingle stuck in your head for three days, you know exactly why music is one of the most powerful teaching tools that exists. The song reinforces the themes from all four stories, and kids remember it long after they've put the booklets down.

Here's what Julien O. had to say: "My 6 year old niece really enjoyed the bedtime stories I read to her. She stayed engaged the whole time. I also liked that there were activities included to keep the learning going after the story."

That's the whole point. The story hooks them. The booklets, worksheets, trading cards, and song keep them learning. It's a complete experience for $20.
